Wilbraham resident, left his mark as one of the region’s most respected golf course superintendents; worked as superintendent for 37 years, the last 27 as head superintendent at Crestview Country Club in Agawam; spotlight of career was four-year run of the LPGA Tour’s Friendly’s Classic tournament there; graduate of Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass Amherst; grew up in Gilbertville and got first taste of the sport and business at Dunroamin Country Club; served four years in the U.S. Air Force; married to wife Marlene, with two children and two granddaughters.
